Ring Engraving Service
Engraving FAQ's
"Can you choose a font for the
writing, we would like to get a celtic font if possible?" - Yes that's no problem, just let us know which font
you would like, if we haven't got it but you have it on your computer, you can email it to us to install on our machine.
"Does it matter if the wedding ring for engraving is made from metal other than Titanium - Gold, Palladium or Platinum for example?" - No
"Is there a minimum
width that the wedding ring must be for engraving?" - No, but you should bear in mind the type of font that you choose. Some fonts
have larger than normal capital letters with extra sweeps on. In those cases, on a narrow ring the lowercase letters would look a bit lost
so it would be wise to choose a font that is all the same height.
"How many characters can the
inscription have or does it depend on the ring?" - It depends on the diameter of the ring, the font chosen and if there is a hallmark in the way on the inside.
"Can you engrave in Arabic or Chinese?" - Yes we can engrave in any language, although we may need a little help from you for it as we can't read or write Arabic or Chinese. You will need to supply us with a jpeg of the inscription you require so that we can scan it and import it into the laser software.
"How deep will the engraving be on my wedding ring, will it wear off quickly?" - We have a 50 watt laser engraving machine so the engraving is a lot deeper than normal hand or machine engraving , approximately 0.5mm deep.
